Fees

I charge prices commensurate with local rates for psychologists. At this time, I am not accepting insurance except Medicare and associated supplemental (or "Medigap") policies. However, if your plan reimburses outside providers, I can offer paid invoices called Superbills for you to submit to your insurance. I also have a limited number of sliding scale spots available. Fees are due on the date of service. I accept major credit cards.

Office Policies

Most of my clients have a regular weekly appointment time, which I hold for them.

I require 7 days notice for cancellations, and allow 4 cancellations every 12 months for breaks such as vacations or planned work travel. For other cancellations you will be charged on the day of the session; however I will happily reschedule a replacement session. If your insurance declines to pay for any reason, you will be responsible for the amount that they would have paid; please note that insurance companies do not pay for cancelled sessions.

New Clients

I ask all new clients to fill out forms before we meet. This gives us more time in our first sessions, and allows you to think about any questions you may have for me.

New clients will be sent a link to the appropriate forms to fill out online after we have spoken and agreed to meet.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy. The “Good Faith Estimate” explains how much your medical and mental health care will cost. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
